I thoroughly enjoy writing for both work and play. Here's some of the serious (and not so serious) written pieces that I've published.

A Glance at the Future of External Vehicular Sound

us2.co/evsound • April 3rd, 2017

I was part of a team that explored how pedestrian safety could be improved via the use of sensor data to create smarter, more meaningful external vehicular sound systems. The result was a 6,000+ word long thought piece that I co-wrote with a fellow ustwo designer. The piece has been featured on WIRED Magazine, VentureBeat and LS:N.

3 things I learned while designing in Material

Original Post • February 2, 2016

As I was about to start a complete Material Design refresh project for American Express, I struggled to find online resources that described how to successfully conduct a visual redesign using Google's Material Design Guidelines. Because of this, I decided to write about what I learned and, through my own formed perspective and tangible examples, give fellow designers the starting point I wanted to find before starting this project.

A Week in the South

Original Post • June 23, 2015

Attending The Savannah College of Art and Design made me completely fall in love with that region of the country. After visiting for the first time after graduation, I decided to write about the city, its surrounding areas, its food and my memories of attending school there. I treated this post as a guide to any person that wants to visit the beautiful city of Savannah but hasn't yet. The post was also featured by Exposure.
